Choose where posts come from

X supplies candidate posts. Sift then hides posts that do not pass your rules below.

Feed name X List URL recommended Strongly recommended once you use topic packs. Without a List, Sift can only filter whatever Following loads.

Create or find an X List. A focused List gives Sift better candidates. Sift cannot fetch posts or accounts that X did not load.

Choose what belongs

Add one topic or phrase per line. A post can match any one of them.

Hide posts that do not match my topics Priority accounts are exempt. Leave this off for a broader feed. Topics I want Wanted topics decide what qualifies. Blocked phrases below still win when a post contains both.

Remove the noise

These rules are applied before posts appear in your feed.

Blocked words and phrases One per line. These always remove a matching post. Exact duplicates from “Topics I want” are flagged before saving.

Hide promoted posts Hide reposts Hide quote posts Require an external article link Mentions, hashtags and links within X do not count.

Control individual accounts

Use account exceptions when topic rules are not enough.

Priority accounts Their posts do not need a topic match. Blocked phrases and post-type rules still apply. Never-show accounts One @handle per line.

Maximum visible posts per account Prevents one account from taking over. Use 0 for no limit.

Choose how X looks

These controls simplify X without changing your content rules.

Default to Following Switch away from “For You” when the home feed opens. Distraction-free layout Hide trends, Explore, Grok, Premium and the sidebar.
